Portrait
In this picture it was more of a snapshot, capturing a moment in time and not a staged portrait picture. This was taken when the person in the picture wasn't paying attention, and I think it captures a a point in time and a true emotion of the person. During this picture the guy, his best friend and myself were at a lake and a natural park. This was the first time that he had ever been there, and he hadn't been able to just have a day out enjoying himself for quite some time. In the picture I think it captures a simple joy that the guy had at that moment, and I think it also shows almost a childlike happiness that can't be staged. I changed it to black and white because I think it makes the portrait more dramatic. Also with what's going on in the background and all the details I felt that it pulled away from the picture. The black and white makes it more simple and I think reflects upon the portrait.
